About the role

As Genomics Partnerships Lead at DNA Protocol, you will connect laboratories and research organizations with relevant applications of our privacy-first digital identity platform. Identify where credentials, scoped proofs and verifiable XRPL evidence can address specific provenance, access or verification needs.

Combine domain understanding, relationship building and disciplined pilot execution. Work with product, engineering and privacy specialists to define feasible evaluations, distinguishing current test-credential tools from production issuance or verified real-world identities and avoiding unsupported clinical, security or regulatory claims.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and engage prospective laboratory, research, infrastructure, and integration partners.
  • Run discovery conversations that clarify data flows, current workflows, technical constraints, and decision makers.
  • Translate partner needs into focused credential or scoped-verification pilots with explicit issuer assumptions, data boundaries, responsibilities and success criteria.
  • Coordinate technical evaluation and onboarding with engineering, product, security, and domain specialists.
  • Maintain accurate partnership records, follow-up plans, and feedback loops into the product roadmap.
  • Prepare clear partner-facing materials that distinguish available capabilities from research or planned work.

Qualifications

  • Experience in partnerships, business development, scientific programs, or customer-facing work in genomics, biotechnology, or data infrastructure.
  • Ability to understand laboratory or research workflows and discuss technical requirements with specialists.
  • Strong written communication, discovery, stakeholder management, and project coordination skills.
  • Experience moving a collaboration from initial interest to a well-scoped evaluation or pilot.
  • Sound judgment when handling confidential information and describing product capabilities.

Helpful Experience

  • An established understanding of the genomics or life-sciences ecosystem.
  • Experience with developer platforms, data governance, or research infrastructure partnerships.
  • Interest in privacy-first digital identity, XRPL evidence and their practical applications in genomics.

What Success Looks Like

  • A prioritized partner pipeline tied to specific use cases rather than broad claims.
  • A pilot brief with agreed scope, owners, and measurable evaluation criteria.
  • A structured feedback loop that helps product and engineering address genuine partner needs.
