About the role
DNA Protocol is building privacy-first digital identity tools that connect credentials, scoped proofs and verifiable XRPL evidence. As a Blockchain Genomics Engineer, you will apply cryptography and bioinformatics expertise to genomic use cases within that broader platform.
You will design commitments, integrate credential and proof workflows with ledger-facing services, and improve transaction reliability. Keep sensitive genomic records off-chain and distinguish evidence of integrity from claims about biological identity or issuer trust.
Responsibilities
- Develop XRPL integrations for credential registry evidence and verification receipts, including genomic applications
- Design versioned commitments for genomic records with clear provenance, privacy boundaries and verification assumptions
- Collaborate with bioinformatics and data science teams
- Improve transaction submission, validated-outcome handling and reconciliation with application records
- Conduct protocol-level audits and performance testing
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years in blockchain development (XRPL)
- Solid understanding of cryptographic hashing (SHA256, Blake2, etc.)
- Experience with DNA sequence formats (FASTA, FASTQ)
- Strong in Rust, Go, or TypeScript
- Knowledge of Web3 wallets and identity management systems
