About the role
As a Bioinformatics Integration Specialist at DNA Protocol, you will support genomic applications of our privacy-first digital identity platform. Translate domain data into reproducible inputs for credential claims and verification workflows, without treating genomic records as a substitute for trusted identity issuance.
Develop preprocessing pipelines, quality checks and standardized formats with bioinformatics and engineering teams. Keep sensitive source data off-chain; define what a scoped proof or XRPL evidence record can establish, and what still depends on provenance and issuer policy.
Responsibilities
- Define reproducible genomic inputs and commitments for narrowly scoped credential claims
- Design and maintain data transformation pipelines
- Work with backend teams to reconcile off-chain provenance and credential context with XRPL evidence
- Implement quality control on genomic inputs
- Standardize formats across multiple bio-data providers
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in bioinformatics or computational biology
- Strong Python, R, or Nextflow skills
- Familiarity with blockchain workflows or APIs
- Knowledge of human genome structuring (GRCh38, Ensembl)
- Excellent understanding of data privacy in genomics (GDPR, HIPAA)
